CONCORD ROAD IS TO THE SOUTH AND THIS ABUTS THE, THE LINE BETWEEN BRENTWOOD AND METRO AND WALLER ROAD IS A DEAD END CUL-DE-SAC.

SO IT DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE BEYOND JUST ABOUT RIGHT HERE.

ORIGINALLY THERE WAS A MASTER PLAN FOR THE CHURCH THAT SHOWED ADDITIONAL PARKING, UM, ON THIS PROPERTY, BUT IT WAS NEVER CONSTRUCTED.

IT WAS NOT NEEDED, SO IT WASN'T CONSTRUCTED.

UM, AND SO IN IT ALSO ABUTS A SMALL LITTLE OSRD PIECE OF PROPERTY JUST TO THE NORTH.

COMMISSIONER COLLEY, I KNOW THE TVA EASEMENT WILL RESTRICT HOW MUCH, HOW MUCH LOT SPACE IS ACTUALLY BUILDABLE, BUT THE NON-BINDING PLAN IS NON-BINDING AND THEY'RE SHOWING THREE.

BUT CONCEPTUALLY MORE THAN THREE COULD PHYSICALLY BE BUILT ON THE SITE.

UM, NOT, NOT, I DON'T BELIEVE SO.

I, I MEAN I, THAT HASN'T BEEN, UH, COMPLETELY VETTED, BUT I THINK BASED ON THE LOT SIZE REQUIREMENTS FOR R TWO AND THE FRONTAGE REQUIREMENTS, UH, THE LOT WIDTH REQUIREMENTS, I, I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE A FOURTH LOT.

AND WITH, THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF FLOODPLAIN ON THIS PROPERTY AND THE TVA EASEMENT, UM, I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE, ACHIEVE ANOTHER LOT.

COMMISSIONER STANNICK ATTENDED A CONFERENCE THAT SHE, AS A MEMBER OF THE ADVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BOARD, IT'D LIKE TO PRESENT WHAT SHE LEARNED.

UH, UNIVERSITY OF VANDERBILT HAD A STATE OF THE ENVIRONMENT CONFERENCE.

IT WAS THEIR SECOND YEAR TO DO THAT.

AND, UM, THEY INVITED PANELISTS TO SPEAK ABOUT WATER, LAND, AND ENERGY.

THEY HAD PEOPLE FROM THE STATE AND THEY HAD, UM, OTHER ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS LIKE THE HARPETH CONSERVANCY THINK, UM, TENNESSEE, UH, THE LAND TRUST, UM, THOSE ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL.

AND, UM, IT WAS VERY INTERESTING.

UM, I AM PASSING OUT TO THE DIRECTOR AND TO, UM, JANET, UM, THEY RECORDED THEM ON YOUTUBE.

SO THEY'RE FIVE SEGMENTS AND THE FIRST ONE'S LIKE AN INTRODUCTION OF WHAT WE'RE DOING.

THEN THEY DO LAND, THEN THEY DO WATER, THEN THEY DO ENERGY, AND THEN THEY END WITH LIKE A SCHOLARSHIP AND TALKING ABOUT IT.

SO IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN LOOKING THROUGH THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, THEY'RE VERY INTERESTING AND YOU CAN SKIP AND, UM, SEE WHAT EACH PERSON TALKED ABOUT.

BUT BASICALLY THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT WHAT ARE THEIR CONCERNS HERE IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, GROWTH, CLIMATE AVAILABLE RESOURCES, HOW DO WE SUSTAIN OUR RESOURCES? UM, THEY TALKED ABOUT THEIR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AND WHAT THEY'RE DOING NOW.

UM, THINGS THAT I LEARNED WAS, UM, FOR EXAMPLE, UNDER THE LAND PANEL, UM, THEY HAD 80,000 PEOPLE MOVE INTO NASHVILLE LAST YEAR.

THEY HAVE A 20-YEAR-OLD ZONING, UM, PLAN FOR THE CITY OF NASHVILLE.

UM, SO THEY ARE NOW LOOKING AT HOW DO THEY ZONE, UH, WITH REQUIREMENTS TO OUR URBAN LIVING, TO ECOLOGY, TO OUR LANDSCAPE.

UM, THEY ARE WORKING WITH VANDERBILT.

UM, VANDERBILT HAS A ORGANIZATION OR UM, UM, A SITE CALLED THE WONDERY AND IT, AND IT WILL PARTNER WITH BUSINESSES OR ORGANIZATIONS TO WORK THROUGH STRATEGIC PLANNING.

SO THEY DEVELOPED A TOOL FOR MEASURING, UM, HEAT AND FOR FLOODING.

AND SO THEY'RE USING THAT TO MAP OUT DIFFERENT THINGS IN THE CITY SO THEY'LL BE ABLE TO PLAN BETTER.

UM, THE OTHER POSITIVE THINGS THAT I REALLY ENJOYED HEARING WAS UNDER THE STATE THAT GOVERNOR LEE PUT A LOT OF MONEY TOWARDS, UM, CONSERVATION.

SO HE IS WANTING EIGHT NEW STATE PARKS AND FOUR NEW PLACES FOR TRAILS.

UM, I THOUGHT THAT WAS FANTASTIC.

SO OUR STATE WILL HAVE 69 STATE PARKS, UM, UNDER THE LAND TRUST THAT STARTED HERE IN TENNESSEE.

IT'S 20 YEARS OLD.

UM, THEY ARE WORKING ALSO WITH A PLAN THAT, UM, IS GOING TO CHANGE WITH TIME WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS BASED ON RESEARCH THAT THEY'RE FINDING AND, UM, PUTTING IN PLACE MORE, UM, WAYS OF CONSERVING OUR LAND.

UM, AND ESPECIALLY LIKE IN AGRICULTURE BECAUSE THE LAND CAN, UM, HELP WITH THE CARBON FOOTPRINT AND ABSORB CARBON.

SO THEY'RE GIVING MONEY BACK TO FARMS TO KIND OF HELP WITH THAT.

UNDERWATER THINGS THAT I NEVER KNEW BEFORE IS OUR DUCK RIVER IS ONE OF THE THIRD MOST BIODIVERSE RIVERS IN ALL OF THE WORLD.

THERE ARE 50 DIFFERENT MUSS, 20 DIFFERENT SNAILS, 151 DIFFERENT FISH, 500 AQUATIC PLANTS.

UM, THAT'S JUST AMAZING.

AND A LOT OF DRINKING WATER COMES FROM THE DUCK RIVER.

UM, 60% OF DRINKING WATER COMES FROM THE RIVERS.

AND SO THEY'RE LOOKING THROUGH THAT.

THE OTHER THING I LEARNED WAS TENNESSEE WAS A LITER IN THIS, UM, SCENIC RIVER ACT AND THE CLEAN WATER ACT.

WE HAD 'EM HERE IN THE STATE FIRST.

THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL.

SO THEN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IMPLEMENTED IT.

UM, AND THEN LAST OUR WETLANDS ARE UP FOR A VOTE ON WEDNESDAY.

THEY'RE PROPOSING TO BUILD ON OUR WETLANDS.

AND SO, UM, THAT WILL AFFECT 55%, UH, OF OUR WETLANDS.

IT'LL REDUCE IT BY THAT AMOUNT.

UM, IT'S 430,000 ACRES.

UM, AND THE WETLANDS ARE KIND OF OUR CATCHALL.

THEY'RE

OUR SHOCK ABSORBERS TO FILTER WATER FOR DRINKING, TO PURIFY THE WATERS FOR THE RIVERS AND OUR WILDLIFE TO RECHARGE OUR AQUIFERS TO HELP ABSORB THE FLOOD PLAIN WATER.

AND THEN IT ALSO, WE, WE PROVIDE INTO THE MISSISSIPPI, BUT INTO THE GULF OF MEXICO.

SO IT'LL AFFECT EVERYTHING DOWN BELOW AS WELL.
